My Career Path
In my current role at MSC, one of the largest cargo companies globally, I serve as a Full Stack Developer, responsible for crafting diverse platforms tailored to the company's requirements. Leveraging technologies like .NET, .NET Core, Razor, JavaScript, MSSQL, and others, I contribute to the development of robust and efficient solutions that meet MSC's evolving needs in the dynamic cargo industry.
During my tenure at ITMI, I worked as a researcher, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in the detection of occupational physical fatigue in the workplace. This internship highlighted the significance of AI in practical scenarios and its potential to enhance workplace environments. Additionally, my research efforts led to the publication of two articles, contributing valuable insights to the field.
During my time at McGill's research center, CRIEM, I served as a Backend Developer, contributing to the development of PDS (The Social Data Analysis Center), a digital platform aimed at understanding the unique issues and needs of Montreal's populations. Working extensively with .NET Core technologies, JavaScript, Razor, Blazor, Microsoft Orleans, MySQL, and other tools, I played a key role in building robust and scalable solutions. This experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also provided invaluable insight into the Canadian market, facilitating a deeper understanding of its dynamics and requirements.
At UQAR, I also served as a Teaching Assistant, where I played a pivotal role in managing courses, delivering lectures, and preparing presentations for my supervisor. I taught courses to both Master's and Bachelor's students, fostering their understanding of complex topics and contributing to their academic growth and development. This experience enriched my teaching skills and deepened my commitment to education at all levels.
During my tenure at UQAR as a PhD Candidate, I focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Federated Machine Learning, with a specialization in their applications within the healthcare sector. My research delved into innovative approaches to optimize healthcare systems and enhance patient care through advanced data analysis techniques. Additionally, I contributed to academia by publishing approximately 13 articles throughout this journey, disseminating insights and findings to the scientific community.
During my tenure at Octipulse as a Backend Developer, I contributed to the development of a versatile content management system catering to a diverse clientele, including prestigious entities like National Geographic Arabia, Al Ittihad News, Zahrat Al Khaleej, and Al Mayadeen International Broadcasting Network. Working within an international setting, I utilized a range of technologies such as Azure services, .NET Core, CosmosDB, MS SQL, and others, ensuring robust and scalable solutions for our global partners.
Following the closure of iBits, I transitioned to the role of Research and Development Engineer at Stragnum. There, I spearheaded a comprehensive study culminating in a prototype for an Intellectual Property system leveraging Blockchain technology. This endeavor involved extensive utilization of NodeJS and JavaScript, showcasing my adaptability and expertise in cutting-edge technologies.
After seven years of employment, I ventured into entrepreneurship, founding iBits, a startup offering various software solutions. I managed a team of developers, driving the development and delivery of Point of Sale systems, Clinic Management, Cargo Management, Educational Systems, and Municipalities Data Management solutions. This experience honed my business acumen and equipped me with valuable insights into startup dynamics and operations. Within a year, iBits gained traction, securing numerous clients. Unfortunately, amidst Lebanon's economic crisis starting in October 2019, I made the difficult decision to close iBits.
At Phoenicia University, my journey began as an Application Administrator, overseeing vital data management systems like the student information system, payroll, ERP, and various web platforms. Progressing to a leadership role, I led a dedicated team in developing and integrating systems, bridging gaps with customized solutions such as transportation management and entrance exams. Leveraging diverse technologies like .NET, .NET Core, JavaScript, and more, we delivered numerous applications, integration projects with banks, and extensive SQL SSRS reports.
During my tenure at Al-Masar Higher Education Institute, I served as an IT Instructor, delivering comprehensive courses on Database Management, A+ Computer Maintenance, Java, C#, and other IT subjects across multiple class levels. Through engaging instruction, I facilitated students' mastery of diverse technical skills essential for their academic and professional development.
As an Information Technology Specialist at Shoumran High School, I managed the setup and maintenance of the IT network serving over 2000 students and 150 staff members. It was a great place to start working, providing an invaluable environment for developing my IT expertise. I spearheaded the infrastructure deployment and played a key role in developing the Educational Management System using APEX SQL and Oracle. Additionally, I provided comprehensive IT support to staff and conducted hardware maintenance tasks.
